New 750 hp Lamborghini Veneno Shocks at Monza
Lamborghini displayed the new Veneno at the Blancpain Super Trofeo European series opener at Monza. This is the first time the Veneno has been seen publically since its original presentation at Geneva. Stephan Winkelmann, current President and CEO of Lamborghini again introduced the prototype. Monza officials should have issued a warning that seeing this new mind altering Lamborghini in person could cause hallucinations. One could actually get high from just looking at the aggressive bodywork. There's a huge shark fin running along the top with slits, intakes and gills everywhere else. Danger also comes from looking to long at the radical Italian tricolore stripe that crazily runs along the side. Plus, realizing that you are staring directly at the most powerful Lamborghini ever produced carries its own risk.

Every supercar cliche and every bad idea Lamborghini ever had, stuffed into one overpriced showcar.
- Edmund's John Pearley Huffman

Lamborghini is currently pushing the limits in terms of design. According to many, the understated and luxurious Murcielago lacked the outrageousness of Lamborghinis of the past. Needless to say, anyone with this feeling can rest assured because the Aventador, and especially the Veneno, signal a rebirth of the brand. But, Lamborghini should be careful not to risk being too ostentatious. Edmunds just named the Veneno the ugliest car of all time. Regardless, the Veneno has 50 more horsepower and is 270 lbs lighter than the Lamborghini Aventador it's based on. Moreover, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 mph. The three people buying the car probably don't care how people think it looks nor how fast the car is, they like it purely for the exclusivity.
